Stieg Larsson

Three Interesting Facts About Larsson
  • When he lived in Sweden, he was the editor inchief  of the magazine Expo
  • Before he died in 2004, Larsson delivered the manuscripts of his now famous books such as The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo as well as the sequels, The Girl Who Played With Fire and The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest
  • Larsson died of a heart attack at 50 years old but many people are convinced that the death was induced by the death threats/vulgar abuse he received when he was editor of the Expo
"A double-page ad for Stieg Larsson’s thriller “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” pulls out all the stops: breathless quotes in all-caps (“Is the hype justified? Yes”) and a list of statistics showing many copies have been sold abroad—because 2.7 million Swedes can’t be wrong. (That’s nearly a third of the country’s population."- Ligaya Mishan, from The New Yorker (Prestigious editorial magazine)
